We caught the ferry from Lahaina on the island of Maui heading over to the small island of Lana'i. We were on the glassy sea, thousands of miles from the nearest continent, crossing from one island to another, surrounded by a pod of dolphins and wild volcanic islands. Fantastic!
I found this charming little church while exploring Lana'i. The sun was bright overhead, illuminating the treetops in brilliant yellows. I was in awe of how many greens there were in the foliage. Each leaf seemed to be calling out to me, "Here I am, paint me! Look at me, look at me, soak me up!" How could I resist? The trees cast beautiful blue shadows on the ground, creating powerful contrasts to the vibrant greens in the grass.
Everything was so intense with color, illuminated... everything was in the Light of Lana'i.
