Living just one block from Grandview made it super easy and accessible to get to the beach. In the mornings, I walked my (always so happy) Golden Retriever, Maybe, to the top of the staircase overlooking the beach. I’d take in the surf and she’d take in the smells and we’d both breathe in the sweet sea air, salty and fresh, filling our souls.
In the evenings we’d go back as a family, and watch the sunset and the colors changing hue with a nightly display. On clear days, we could see all the way down the coast - Solana Beach, the cliffs at Torrey Pines, and the shores of La Jolla stretching out into the distance.
