The San Francisco de Asis church in Rancho de Taos is a source of endless inspiration. This is one of five paintings I have created using this sanctuary as my subject. In this painting, the exaggerated perspective is looking from the entrance into the grounds of the church. The path is constructed from broken tiles of rock leading to the doors of the church. I find this broken path symbolic of my own spiritual path, uneven and unbalanced at times, but with clear vision and focus, I have discovered that I can remain on the path to the doors of my own salvation.
