Inspired by an alpine lake, and named for the clarity we can experience when coming into contact with such natural beauty. At the beginning of a hike, I sometimes find that my head is filled with thoughts and feelings, my to-do lists, conversations, and random daydreams. With each step up the trail, with each new site or scent I encounter, my mind slowly lets go of the small details of the day and becomes clearer. Being surrounded by nature, with the lake in front of me, my breathing slows, and I fall into rhythm with the forest around me. Standing in front of this "lake of clarity," I felt myself in tune with nature, and the more I felt myself in tune, the more clear I felt, which in turn allowed me to be more fully in the present moment with my experience. Getting into nature is like a dose of healing medicine for our fast paced lives and every time I am in nature, I feel energized, inspired, and lit up for days.
